Collection: Outdoor Knives
As a good ol' country boy, and former United States Marine, I appreciate a high quality made knife for when the occasion arises that it's needed to be put to use.
Function forward, comfortable to hold with tons of thought and design work into how the user holds and interacts with the knife is ever constant in my mind.
Outdoor knives can range from
- small camp knives
- every day carry
- small neck knives
- wild game processing
However, some of these models can easily transition into kitchen knives to: such as filet knives and the bird n trout model makes a great boning or steak knife
Blade finishes can be
- Parkerized (as photo'd, is a food safe coating like most modern guns can chip off with heavy use. great rust prevention minus where shiny steel like the edge is)
- Antiqued (a great hardy finish made by rusting the knife on purpose, evolves with use, wont chip off)
- Hand rubbed ( satin finish looks great however a bit harder to care for)
- Other / Acid wash/ tumbled / force patina
